Beware if you dare
Ask for the Night’s Touch,
A blessing for few
A curse for most
A learning for all who suffer.
For a woman is wrath
And a woman is power
But a woman is also
Your mother.
As a child you are fed
From the breast that gives
As a teen you are taught
What’s true
As a man you will see
That you were just
Lucky
To breathe and break bread
With friends
For those who don’t learn,
For those who don’t see
The touch is all that
Will ever be
Those who are not lucky
Those who are not fed
The Night will claim
And wait until
Dead
So,
Be grateful and be wary
And pay your respects
For life’s roots emerge
From the Night.
Those who forget
Do not get nurture,
But the wrath of nature
And death.
Those who remember
Will hope and pray
That the Night’s touch
In the end of the day,
May only bring little pain
And Wisdom.
