Moments

Some moments in life,
You meet
Like people on a long journey,
Seeing many faces,
But remembering only a few.
A few.

It is those,
Who you talk to that,
Define you.
Those who you remember,
You may relive.
What is existence but,
Moments
And
Memories?
Movement moving morbidly on.

Do you see these faces merge?
Or is definite itself by nature
Separate?
We can stare at a river forever,
But when will
Those drops
Take form?

These moments,

Joy, sadness, impatience, hunger, urgency
They will never cease to be,
Peace, rage, inertia, thirst, foolishness, love,
Never will they leave me be.
Guilt, pleasure, shyness, defeat, bliss, sly
These moments,
These moments,
Only a few from my memory
Amount to,
Gratitude, pain, guidance and learning,
Remaining with me,
As companions,
In the river of Eternity.
