Midnight’s Rest

Upon the collapse of Conscious pillars,
Structures of sonorous systems dissolve in silence,
Accompanied only by the blackness of belief.

A Universe no more and never again,
Releases itself from the binds of relevance,
Turning to oblivion instead of memory.

From the remains of those fated to reconstitute,
A revenants’ saccade demands attention,
Calling to Mind’s Eye which is half asleep.

The Mind gives in to Nobody’s retention,
And at Midnight’s Rest our reality comes to Being,
As the Night-Skinned One begins to Dream.
