You Know Yourself

Would you believe me if I said?
I know you better than you know yourself.

Subjective experience in all its profundity,
Works upon the same objective underlying pins.
From unconscious sensation to conscious seeking,
Our behaviour works upon the same map of meaning.

I know you better than you know yourself,
But I say this with humility to only make a point.

A point of perception that pricks the profundity with those pins,
Reversing the seeking with sensation to sense what is sought.
A Field full of Feeling but objective and true,
For it is the same field all of us are pinned to.

I know you better than you know yourself my friend,
Merely because,
I know myself better than I know you.
